Drones Attacks in Pakistan

Drones kill 30 in the Waziristans

Over 30 people were reportedly killed in drone attacks in North and South Waziristan over the past 24 hours. This is the third drone strike in the tribal agencies of Pakistan this month and the toll, by previous records, was unusually high.

These three drone visits in quick succession come close on the heels of the U.S. moving for a $800-million cut in military aid to Pakistan. Pakistan's contention has been that drone attacks are counter-productive as they take civilian lives and thereby end up creating more terrorists in retaliation within a tribal society where seeking revenge is a part of tradition.
